Emmy Award Winning Producer Alana Blaylock Creates Impactful Media that Drives Culture Forward. Network television series, groundbreaking documentaries, news broadcasts, web-series and independent films are all a part of Alana’s repertoire. Her credits include television shows for CNN, HBO, NBC News, Nat Geo, and the ID Channel. Aside from her TV endeavors, Alana produces festivals and freelances for film and digital companies.
Prior to producing, Alana’s zest for creative writing led her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in English and Media Studies at Georgetown University. While in school, Alana held PR positions at 42 West, AmFar, Seventeen Magazine, and Bloomingdales, Inc. She realized production suited her better, she attended New York Film Academy, and she received a certificate in Broadcast Journalism. There, she acquired the tools that she uses in pre-production, on set, and in post. There, she laid the foundation for the proactive attitude she brings to each and every production adventure.
Alana is a member of the organizations Georgetown Entertainment Media Alliance, NAMIC, and The Paley Center for Media.
