Emmy Award Winning Producer Alana Blaylock Creates Impactful Media that Drives Culture Forward. Network television series, groundbreaking documentaries, news broadcasts, web-series and independent films are all a part of Alana’s repertoire. Her credits include television shows for CNN, MSNBC, HBO, YouTube, and the ID Channel. Aside from her TV endeavors, Alana produces festivals, branded content, and digital shorts.
Prior to producing, Alana’s zest for creative writing led her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in English and Media Studies at Georgetown University. During the summers, Alana held PR positions at 42 West, AmFar, Seventeen Magazine, and Bloomingdales, Inc. She realized production suited her better, she attended New York Film Academy, and she received a certificate in Broadcast Journalism. There, she acquired the tools that she uses in pre-production, on set, and in post. There, she laid the foundation for the proactive attitude she brings to daily shoots.
